It's hard to believe, but Isaiah Thomas will make less money than the #1 draft pick the Boston Celtics take next month. And, it's hard to believe, but Thomas says he is ok with that.

Meeting with reporters in Boston about his hip injury and the team's future, Thomas says the C's need more players to beat Cleveland and if that means not getting an extension on his contract, that's ok.

Thomas will make $6.3 million in the final year of his deal. A #1 draft can make $7 million.

On his hip injury, Thomas says the swelling needs to go down before doctors really know if he needs surgery.
