Top Seeds Tangle For Field Hockey Titles

It's Regional Championship day for high school field hockey and all three Eastern Maine title games take place on the turf at Hampden Academy. In all three classes, it's the #1 seed vs the #2 seed.

The Class C matchup is a 3:30PM start time...#1 Foxcroft vs #2 WInslow. It has been three years since Foxcroft has been in this game. Winslow hasn't been in a regional final since being in the Class B ranks back in the early 2000's.

The Class A matchup starts at 5:30PM...#1 Skowhegan vs #2 Messalonskee. The Skowhegan story is amazing - 12 consecutive east titles. The last team to win the title that wasn't named Skowhegan - Messalonskee in 2000.

And in Class B, game time is 7:30PM...#1 Nokomis vs #2 Old Town. Nokomis won a regional title three years ago. Old Town's dry spell has been 25 years.
