UMaine Battles UMass Tonight

Most college coaches tell you that conference games are the most important games on the schedule. The UMaine hockey team starts conference play tonight against UMass.After three weeks of non-conference play the Hockey East schedule gets underway with the Bears hosting the Minutemen for a weekend series. Maine has dominated the series over the years posting a 46-19-9 record. Last year the Bears took two wins and a tie in their four meetings.

UMaine is coming off a weekend in which they earned their first win of the season by knocking off Alaska Anchorage on Friday before tying the Seawolves on Saturday.

UMass is off to a 2-3 start to the season and enters tonight's game coming off a 4-1 loss to Boston College their last time out.
