The UMaine women's basketball team tied a school record with 14 three pointers and the UMaine men's team won for the second time in a row...all and all, a good Saturday for Black Bear hoops.

The women's team won at UMaryland Baltimore County 61-48. The Bears pumped in 14 three pointers (14 for 41). Liz Wood and Sophie Weckstrom each had three of them.

The Black Bears improve to 4-4 in America East, 10-11 overall.

 

The UMaine men have won back to back games for the first time this season. Saturday's win against UMBC 83-80 at the Cross Center in Bangor.

Xavier Pollard and Zarko Valjarevic led Maine with 18 points each.

The Bears are 3-6 in AE, 7-14 overall.
