When the UMaine hockey team faces off with Colgate tonight in the first game of a weekend series it will be their first game at Alfond Arena in 34 days.The last time they played a home game in their own building was November 4 against New Hampshire.

The Bears will try to get back in the win column after going winless in their last four games, all against New Hampshire. That followed a stretch where Maine was playing better hockey and had put together a 4-game win streak.

This will be the 13th meeting between the two teams but the first since 208. The last time Maine beat Colgate was a 4-3 victory back in 1996.

The 4-11-4 Bears are led by Will Merchant, Blaine Byron and Dan Ranouf who each have 11 points this season, Merchant is the leading goal scorer with 8.

The Raiders are 5-13-1 this season and have lost 6 of their last 7 games.
