UMaine Vs UConn: First HE Matchup

UMaine and UConn have met three times in the past but tonight is the first time the Black Bears and Huskies meet in a Hockey East Conference game.

Maine's record vs UConn is 2-0-1 but only once since the Huskies made the jump to Division 1. That was a 3-3 tie in the season opener at Alfond Arena back in the 2010-11 season.

The Black Bears are riding a three game winning streak, UConn is coming off a 3-2 to Boston College.

Maine, UConn and Merrimack begin the weekend in a tie for 8th place in HE with 10 points.
