UMaine Women Beat Bryant 74-57

Put the UMaine women's basketball team record at 2-0 after last night's 74-57 at Bryant University in Rhode Island.

Blanca Millan scored a game high 23. Fanny Wadling had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Tanesha Sutton added 17.

The Black Bears jumped on the Bulldogs in the first quarter, outscoring them 23-13.

Maine scored 42 points in the paint and scored 16 points off 17 turnovers by Bryant.

The (2-0) Black Bears return home to take on nationally ranked Duke Thursday night at the Cross Center. Former UMaine coach Joanne Palombo-McCallie and her Blue Devils lost their season opener on Sunday at Northwestern.
