The FCS Coaches national pre-season poll shows the UMaine Black Bears and five other CAA teams in the top-25. Jack Cosgrove's Bears are ranked #20. UNH is tops among teams in the CAA at #4.

It is interesting to note that in this national poll Maine is the third highest CAA team, after UNH and Towson. Last month, CAA coaches picked Maine to finish 7th in the league.

UMaine finished as CAA regular season champs in 2013 with an overall record of 10-3, hosting a first-ever NCAA playoff game.

The Coaches Poll is based on voting from a panel of FCS coaches under the cooperation of the Collegiate Commissioners Association and American Football Coaches Association.
