University of Maine hockey players Chase Pearson and Brady Keeper are turning pro. Pearson gives up his last year of eligibility and Keeper gives up two years.

Pearson is a draft pick of the Detroit Red Wings and he signed his pro contract and will head to their AHL team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pearson had 16 goals and 13 assists for the Black Bears this season.


NOTE: The Boston Bruins play the Florida Panthers Saturday night...According to USCHO.com there are now 11 underclassman around college hockey who have turned pro in recent days.
