The University of Maine Women's Basketball team will begin play in the America East tournament tonight, a day after a couple players took home postseason awards.Senior Ashleight Roberts and Sophomore Liz Wood were both named to the second team all-conference squad, while Wood was also selected to the all-defensive and all-academic team with a 3.95 GPS.

The Bears enter the tournament as the #4 seed after completing its best season in nearly 10 years with an overall record of 16-13 and 10-6 in America East. Their opponent is #5 Hartford who they split with in the regular season. Maine has lost three straight against the Hawks in the tournament with their last win coming in 1996 . Tip-off for tonight's game is at 8:15.
