26-year-old Jack Wyman from Falmouth is Maine State Golf Association Player of the Year Award winner. Wyman accrued the most points in tournament play from August 1st of last year through Augusts 1st of this year.

Wyman won the Maine Amateur Championshp and was the low amateur at the Maine Open in July to give him a lot of points in the final weeks. He finished with 574 MSGA points. Former Husson University golfer Joe Alvarez was second in points.

The  2018 Player of the Year race begins next week with the MSGA Match Play Championshp to be played at Waterville Country Club.
