Dale Duff
Dale is in his 35th year of broadcasting on radio and television. Prior to joining 92.9 The Ticket in November 2012, Dale spent 16 years at WLBZ-TV (NBC Affiliate) in Bangor, Maine. His television experience included three years as a news reporter/anchor and 13 years as sports director/anchor.
In 1993, Dale moved to WZON (AM620) in Bangor as sports/program director and created Maine’s first all-sports radio station. WZON was twice named Maine Associated Press Station of The Year.
Along with his broadcasting duties, Dale is an adjunct instructor at the New England School of Communications in Bangor teaching Intro to Sports Journalism.
Dale has been named Maine Sportscaster of The Year six times. He has earned 13 AP Best Radio Sportscast awards, 12 AP/MAB Best Radio Play-by-Play awards, eight AP/MAB Best TV Play-by-Play awards and six AP/MAB Best TV Sportscast awards.
Among his volunteering efforts, Dale is president of Bangor East Little League, Senior League World Series opening ceremony committee chair, honorary member of the UMaine Black Bear Club and member of the Jay Ramsdell Scholarship committee.
A Houlton, Maine native and Ricker College graduate, Dale and his wife Nora reside in Bangor with their five children.
