Bangor Beats Erskine In Opener

  The Bangor Rams racked up 12 hits and needed just six innings to beat Erskine Academy in the season opener for both teams 12-2.After the Eagles scored two runs in the top of the first inning, Bangor bounced back with three of their own. The big hit coming off the bat of Tyler LaPlante who blasted an rbi triple to centerfield. LaPlante finished with 2 hits, 1 rbi and 2 runs scored. Carl Farnham and Parker Sanderson each contributed 2 hits apiece.

Greg Duff got the win on the mound going 5 innings in which he allowed 5 hits and 1 earned run while striking out four and walking just 1.
