Dow Athletic Administrator Of The Year

MDI High School athletic administrator Bunky Dow has been named the MIAAA - Robert J. Lahey Award winner of the Athletic Administrator of the Year in Maine. The award is named after the late Bob Lahey who was a longtime AD at Old Town High School and helped form what is now the MIAAA.

The Van Buren Crusaders defeated the Limestone MSSM Eagles 70-46 and advance to take on the #3 Fort Fairfield Tigers on Thursday, February 20th at 7:05 PM. In the game Van Buren's Parise Rossignol tied the Class D Girl's Record for Most Points Scored in a Game with 43, a record held by Jonesport Beal's Sandy Carver in 1997

Fort Fairfield – PVHS (Photos)

It's the 2nd full day of basketball from the Cross Insurance Center, and the first game of the day featured the #3 Fort Fairfield Tigers vs. the #6 PVHS Howlers. At the end of the 3rd Quarter, PVHS led Fort Fairfield 36-29.

Former MLB Pitcher Matt Kinney To Coach Hermon

Former MLB pitcher and Bangor HS star Matt Kinney has been named new baseball coach at Hermon High School. The 37-year-old Kinney retired back in 2010 and has moved back to Maine from Arizona.

Back in 1995, Kinney was drafted out of Bangor High School in the 6th round by the Boston Red Sox
