It's been a great year at Downtown with Rich Kimball on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket! Rich and Bryan Stackpole look back on the year that was in the world of sports with a great lineup of special guests. Here are the highlights from the studio at Season's Grille and Lounge in Bangor:

Part 1: It's been an interesting (and strange) year in New England sports, and the Downtown crew had it covered with help from analysts including ESPN's Dan Shulman and Gary Thorne and the Boston Globe's Bob Ryan and Chad Buckley, just to name a few. Rich starts the show with one of the most compelling stories of the year -- the rise of the Boston Red Sox during their worst-to-first 2013 season.

Part 2: The Best of Downtown continues with a look at performance enhancing drugs in Major League Baseball and much more, including the futures of the Boston Celtics and the Boston Bruins. Among the highlights, special guest Michael Hurley of CBS Boston relives the Bruins' remarkable Game 7 comeback against Toronto Maple Leafs to propel them into the Stanley Cup Finals.
