While the Washington Wizards made sure Isaiah Thomas was held in check, Avery Bradley exploded for a playoff career-high 29 points as the Boston Celtics won game five 123-101.

The Celtics need one more win to get to the Eastern Conference Finals. Game six is Friday night in Washington. A game seven would be back in Boston Monday night.

Not only did Avery score 29 but Al Horford had a big night too. 19 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Thomas finished with 18 points and dished out nine assists.

John Wall had a quiet 21 points to lead Washington.

Celtics defense held the Wizards to just 38% shooting. The C's shot 53% and made 16 three-pointers.
