While Tom Brady sat for the preseason opener, undrafted free agent running back Ralph Webb ran for two TDs and two two-point conversions as the Patriots beat the Washington Redskins 26-17 last night in Foxboro.

Brady is apparently getting more money added to his contract for the season in the form of incentives. It could mean an additional $5 million dollars.

Meanwhile, Brian Hoyer was 16-for-23 passing, good for 144 yards.

The Patriots got behind 17-0 before putting a late first half field goal on the board.

And then Webb and company did the second half thing.

Rookie QB Danny Etling played some and went 2-of-5 passing for 21 yards. He also had a fumble.
