B’s Win Games, Not Awards

No Vezina Trophy Award for Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask - he's not even on the list of finalists for the NHL top goalie award. In fact, no Bruins player is up for a major award.

Hendrik Lundquist(NYR), Sergei Bobrovsky(CBJ) and Antti Niemi(SJ) are up for the Vezina Trophy. Tukka Rask's GAA and save percentage is equal to or better than the three finalists.

To add insult to injury, Zdeno Chara is not even a finalist for the Norris Trophy Award, given to the top defenseman in the NHL. Kris Letang(Pitt), Ryan Suter(Minn) and PK Subban(Montreal) are the finalists for the Norris.

By the way, Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin and Martin St. Louis are the finalists for NHL MVP.

The Bruins will continue to go after the top team award - the Stanley Cup Friday night when they play Toronto in game-5 of the quarterfinals. The B's own a 3-1 lead in the series.
