NY Islanders coach Jack Capuano headlines this year's UMaine Sports Hall of Fame induction list. The former Black Bear hockey defenseman led his NY team to the NHL playoffs, losing to Pittsburgh in six games.

UM Basketball Loses Q-F 50-49

Great start, bad finish for UMaine men's basketball at the America East Tournament. The Bears had a double digit lead in the first half but got outscored by Albany down the stretch 16-6 to win 50-49.

The UMaine men's basketball team lost to Hartford 68-61. The loss puts an end to the Black Bears' four game win streak. Maine falls to 2-1 in America East conference play and 7-9 overall.
