In the much anticipated Saturday night matchup with Golden State, the Boston Celtics played with the Warriors all night but didn't have enough to beat the Warriors. Score it a 115-111 win for the defending NBA champs.

For the Celtics, a chance to see just what is needed to play at the Golden State level.

The Warriors big three did their thing - Kevin Durant with 33, Steph Curry with 24 and Klay Thompson had 21.

The Celtics got 32 from Kyrie Irving along with 10 assists. Al Horford had 22 points and 13 rebounds.

It was the C's bench that didn't show up - Gordon Hayward had two points in 22 minutes and Terry Rozier had 2 points in 19 minutes.
