DeLaite,Comrades Beat Conn At NE Regional

Trevor Delaite pitched 7 1/3 innings of one run ball and also contributed three hits to lead the Bangor Comrades to a 7-1 over Cheshire, Connecticut in the first round of the American Legion Northeast Regional Tournament.

Bangor (24-5) got three RBI from Ben Crichton and another 2 RBI from Andrew Hillier.

DeLaite struggled at times, walking five and hitting two batters. Hillier came on to record the final five outs.

Cheshire stranded 16 runners.

Bangor will now play at 4:30pm today against Milford, Massachusetts.

The Comrades are making their first regional appearance in 35 years.
