Boston Red Sox lefty Eduardo Rodriguez reported re-injured his right knee that had been giving him problems during the 2016 season, while playing Winter League ball in Venezuela.

According to the Boston Globe, the knee injury was called a "tweak" and President of baseball operations for the Red Sox Dave Dombrowski said he doesn't believe the injury to be too serious in nature or that Rodriguez will miss any of spring training.

Rodriguez is slated to play in the World Baseball Classic for his home country of Venezuela in March, but that is now up in the air after the setback.

The left-handed pitcher made 20 starts for Boston in 2016 and had a 4.71 ERA.
