Fairfield Ends UM Season 63-50

UMaine senior Ashleigh Roberts pumped in 24 points but if wasn't enough to beat Fairfield. The Stags beat the Black Bears 63-50 in the second round of the WBI tournament, ending Maine's season at 17-15.

The Stags scored the game's first four points and never trailed from there. They held Maine to just 13 points in the first half and led 37-13 at halftime.

In that first half Maine was 0 for 9 on three point shots and just 22% shooting on other shots. Fairfield was shooting at a 75% clip in that first half.

Maine did shoot a higher percentage in the 2nd half but it was too little, too late.

Fairfiled improves to 22-10.
