Five local student-athletes have been nominated for First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week honors.

This week's nominees are Bryce Lausier of Hampden, Cody Hawes of Hermon, Alydia Brilliant of Hampden Academy, Rowan Andrews of Bangor and Cooper Wirkala of Oceanside.

Here's how each athlete performed last week

Bryce Lausier of Hampden scored a game-high 25 points in the Broncos' 72-50 victory over Camden Hills on Saturday. The win improved Hampden to 8-2. Lausier tallied 23 points and 11 rebounds in the Broncos 64-50 loss against Bangor last Thursday.

Cody Hawes of Hermon scored a team-high 15 points in the Hawks 58-49 victory over Oceanside on Saturday. He added 10 points in Hermon's 51-40 triumph over Foxcroft Academy last Thursday. After a 10-0 start this season and a perfect 2017-18 season that ended in a Class B title, the Hawks have won 32 straight games.

Alydia Brilliant of Hampden Academy tallied 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block in the Broncos' 53-41 victory over Bangor on Thursday. The 5-10 junior guard-forward scored 12 points in Saturday's 63-30 win against Camden Hills.

Rowan Andrews of the Bangor girls basketball team scored a game-high 18 points in Saturday's 49-38 win over Deering. The junior guard added seven points, two steals and two rebounds in Thursday's loss to Hampden Academy. Saturday's win improved Bangor to 6-5.

Cooper Wirkala of Oceanside scored a game-high 25 points in Saturday's 52-43 loss to Hermon. On Jan. 7, Wirkala poured in 29 points to lead Oceanside in a 80-39 rout of Mt. View. The Mariners are 7-3 in Class B North.

Voting is restricted to once every 24 hours. Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16.
