Former Black Bear Moves Up To Wings #1 Line
When the Boston Bruins play the Detroit Red Wings for the second time in this first full week of the NHL season, former UMaine Black Bear Gustav Nyquist will get a spot on the Wings top line.
After scoring 28 goals in 57 games last year, Nyquist has scored 2 goals in Detroit's first two games this year. The Wings are 1-1.
Nyquist will play tonight with linemates Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen - Detroit's two best players while Pavel Datsyuk is still out with an injury.
Meanwhile, the Bruins are struggling to score goals, just 4 in 4 games. The B's hope veteran Simon Gagne, who was added to the team this week, will help in that department. The Bruins are 1-3.
