Something had to give at Sawyer Arena Monday night. The Bangor Rams were 6-0 in Class A. The Old Town/Orono Black Bears were 7-0 in Class B.

What gave was a third period goal from Bangor's Josh Sherwood that gave the Rams a 3-2 win. The goal was the 6th of the year for Sherwood.

Perhaps the biggest story for Bangor was the play of freshman goalie Jake Hirsch, in for injured senior goalie Jacob Henry. Hirsch is a winner in his varsity debut.

Nick Boudreau had two unassisted goals for the Rams. His 9th and 10th of the season.

Tyler McCannell and Tanner Evans scored the Black Bears goals. McCannell has seven goals now, Evans with five.

Bangor improves to 7-0 and Old Town/Orono drops to 7-1.
