Husson To Play At Kean, NJ Regional

NAC softball champion Husson University is being sent to a NCAA Division-3 Regional Tournament at Kean University in New Jersey. The Eagles will take on the host school in the opening round. The other two teams in the regional include Keene State and Lebanon Valley.

Coach Kristi Hawkins and her Husson team won the North Atlantic Conference title Sunday and will take a 30-10 record to New Jersey. Kean University is 32-11.

It will be a double elimination four team regional and expected to begin on Friday.

The other Maine school in the NCAA field is St.Joseph’s College (33-4). The Monks will play in a regional at Wellesley College in Massachusetts.
