One of the more storied high school hockey programs in the state is headed to another state championship as St. Dom's took the Eastern Maine Class A Title while Messalonskee won their third straight.St. Dom's kocked off the #1 seed Bangor 3-1 when they scored the go-ahead goal with 1:50 to play in the game. Austin Roy skated past a Rams defenseman at the blue line and fired a shot that beat goaltender Rye Powell in the top corner. The Saints also took a penalty on the play putting Bangor on the powerplay where they failed to score despite several opportunities including a shot that went off the crossbar. Chaise Hainey would add an empty netter with just five seconds to play.

Bangor ends the season with a 16-4 record while St. Dom's improves to 13-7-1 and will play Falmouth for the state championship on Saturday.

In the Class B game Messalonskee scored five goals in the second period on their way to a 9-3 win and their third straight Eastern Maine championship. The Eagles will play the winner of the Western Maine championship between Gorham and Greely which will be played tonight.
