Mr & Miss Maine Basketball Semi-Finalists

Zach Gilpin and Isaiah Bess from Hampden are two of the 11 semi-finalists for the Mr. Maine Basketball Award. They are joined by Trevor Lyford of Penquis Valley, Jon Phelps from MDI and Isaiah Stone-Patterson from Oceanside HS as eastern Maine reps for the award.

Players from the west include Dustin Cole(Bonny Eagle), Mike McDevitt(Greely), Jayvon Pitts-Young(Portland), Justin Zukowski(Portland), Serge Nyirikamba(Wayneflete) and Jake Moody(Wells).

For the Miss Maine Basketball Award...Parise Rossignol from Van Buren, Hannah Shaw of MDI, Raychel Alley of Stearns, Anna Mackenzie from Nokomis and Emily Quirion of Cony are from east schools.

West players include Allie Clement and Olivia Smith of McAuley, Nina Davenport(Freeport), Tiana-Jo Carter(Lake Region) and Alison Furness(Wells).

Three finalist from the boys and girls will be announced after the state title games. The winners are announced March 7th as part of the McDonald's AllStar Weekend.
