Mulligan Comes Back To Foxboro
Welcome to the world of a NFL player – Maine’s Matt Mulligan is back with the New England Patriots. If you are keeping score, the Patriots have signed him, cut him and then signed him again all in the last week.
Mulligan, the former UMaine Black Bear tight end, worked out yesterday for the Baltimore Ravens. Teams know him as a blocker-first tight end. He has played in 50 NFL games with NY Jets and St. Louis Rams.
The move to sign Mulligan comes after the Patriots placed running back Shane Vereen on the IR with intent to return. It means Vereen will be out for several weeks with his wrist injury.
The Patriots play the NY Jets Thursday night and you can hear the game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket. Coverage starts at 5:30PM.
