The Red Sox brought up relief pitcher Alex Wilson from the Pawsox during the day. By the end of the night he was walking off the field as losing pitcher in Baltimore 5-4 in 13 innings.

The Birds walked off with a win with two outs in the bottom of the 13th. A walk, a single and then a bloop single by Chris Davis did in Wilson and the Sox. In fairness, Wilson had pitched two and two-thirds innings of shutout ball.

The Sox got home runs from David Ortiz and Mike Carp mid-way through the game but got no hits after the seventh inning.
