Papi Gets 2000th Career Hit [VIDEO]

The Boston Red Sox launched 8 home runs, two of them by David Ortiz who also got his 2000th career hit in a 20-4 win over Detroit.Ortiz hit homeruns in the 4th and 7th innings but it was his rbi double in the bottom of the 6th that got him a standing ovation and historic hit number 2000. Will Middlebrooks hit a grandslam while Jacoby Ellsbury, Daniel Nava, Stephen Drew, Ryan Lavanway and Mike Napoli also went deep. The 8 homeruns ties a franchise record for most in a single game.
