Will Middlebrooks hit two homeruns to help the Red Sox beat the Rockies 15-5 and post their 96th win of the season.Middlebrooks launched a three-run homer in the 5th inning to give Boston a six run lead. He then capped the scoring in the 8th inning with a grand slam giving him a career high 7 rbi. Also adding to the offense was Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who went 4-for-5, scored twice and drove in three. Shane Victorino, blasted a three-run homer and had three hits.

On the mound Jake Peavy went six innings allowing 8 hits and 5 runs to earn his 12th win of the season

Boston's lead for the best record in the AL is now 2-games after Oakland lost to the Angels 3-1. They will now take Thursday off before playing their final three regular season games in Baltimore against the Orioles.
