Make it a clean sweep for the Minnesota Twins over the Boston Red Sox. Wednesday afternoon Rick Porcello could not hold an early lead and the Twins went on to win 6-4.

Dustin Pedroia hit the first of his two 2-run home runs in the third inning but Porcello gave up three runs in the bottom of that inning and the Twins never trailed from there.

Porcello ended up pitching seven innings, allowing six runs, including two home runs.

The Sox are now 21-26 and headed to Texas to play the Rangers.

NOTE: The Sox start LHP Eduardo Rodriguez against Texas tonight. He was acquired in that Andrew Miller trade at the deadline with Baltimore last year. Rodriguez has been starting at Pawtucket and is 4-3 with a 2.98 ERA. 44 strikeouts and just 7 walks.
