Rondo Could Rehab In Portland
Boston Celtics injured guard Rajon Rondo could be joining the Maine Red Claws in Portland to rehab his knee - maybe for game action or maybe for practice purposes.
The Red Claws and the Celtics have a hybrid affiliation meaning the C's control basketball operations. There has been discussion about Rondo practicing with the Red Claws and getting back into basketball shape. The Celtics have a heavy duty game schedule coming up and will have very few practices.
Rondo is coming back from ACL knee surgery.
The Red Claws play their home games at the Portland Expo with their next three games at home. Tonight, Saturday and Sunday.
The Celtics have announced that guard MarShon Brooks will join the Red Claws. Brooks has played in nine games for the C's. He was part of that multi-player off-season trade with Brooklyn that sent Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the Nets.
