Broughton finished 43rd overall in the Festival of Champions earlier in the month, as well as winning four other events at Ellsworth, Bucksport, Washington Academy, and Sumner.

Bangor High School soccer standout Garth Berenyi has been a force for the Rams all year long.  Over the past week, Berenyi scored a hat trick in the 4-2 victory against Mt Blue, and then notched the lone goal in the team’s 1-1 tie with Camden over the weekend.  On the year the Rams are 10-0-1 on the season and are currently in the top spot in Class A North, looking to defend their title.

Michael Norton Jr tallied five total touchdowns in a 57-28 victory over John Bapst last week.  In addition to his three rushing TDs in the contest, he also contributed a 78-yard kickoff return for a score and return a fumble recovery for a 95-yard TD too.  On the year the Oceanside team is 4-2 and will play Winslow on Saturday.

Garrett Trask of Hermon High School had an impressive day rushing the ball in a 39-12 win over Belfast last weekend.  He ran the ball 12 times for 100 yards on the ground, while also finding the end zone for the Hawks on two separate occasions.  Hermon is now 4-2 on the year and will face Dexter this week.
