Sox Equipment Truck Is Florida Bound

It is yet another sign of spring! The Red Sox equipment truck leaves Fenway Park Tuesday at noon. Destination: the Sox spring training home in Lee County, Florida.

The 18-wheeler will be full of baseball equipment (and probably some golf clubs, too). The trip from Boston to Florida is 1,480 miles.

Sox pitchers and catcher must report by next Monday. Several of them are already there getting an early start to spring training.

Only in New England do we follow a truck filled with baseball equipment - but afterall this is Red Sox Nation!
