For the 15th time this season, the Red Sox did not score a run in a game. Tuesday night it was a 4-0 loss in Pittsburgh. You have to go back to 1990 when the Sox have been shut out that many times.

The Sox had just seven hits, Xander Bogaerts had two of them.

On the hill, the young starters continue to audition. Anthony Ranaudo pitched 5.2 innings, giving up a couple of home runs - that's 10 homers in about 32 innings of big league work.

On the positive side, Koji Uehara pitched again. After giving up a double, he struck out the side.
