Bangor golfer Jesse Speirs is tied for 26th place heading into weekend play at the Changsha Championship Tournament in China.

The tourney is the third stop on the PGA Tour Series-China. Speirs earned full status on this developmental series with hopes to earn his way back to the PGA Web.com Tour next year. 150 players from all over the world compete in this series.

Speirs is even par (144) through two rounds which means he makes the cut and plays the final two rounds this weekend. The leader, Kurt Kitayama, leads at the halfway mark at 10-under par.
