Swihart, Dogs Hit Allstar Break

Blake Swihart and the Portland Seadogs head into the Double-A Eastern League All Star break with another win, 6-2 over New Hampshire. The victory puts the Dogs at 63-34, 29 games over the .500 mark.

The switch hitting catcher Swihart continues to swing a hot bat - two more hits against NH. He is hitting .293 with 10 home runs and 48 RBI. Swihart has 19 doubles and 3 triples for a total of 32 extra base hits. Defensively, Swihart has thrown out about 52% of the runners trying to steal.

He is headed to the Eastern League All Star Game in Altoona, Pennslyvania on Wednesday night.

The Seadogs spent the break with the best record in the league.
