Team Plummer And Alvarez Win Tourney

It took two playoff holes but the Team of Mark Plummer and Joe Alvarez won the Maine State Two-Man Team Golf Championship. Plummer-Alvarez and the team of Jason Gall-Scott Sirois were tied at 13-under 131 after two days of competition.

Then came the playoff. Everyone shot par on the first hole. On the second hole(#9 at Brunswick CC) Alvarez sank a 20-foot putt that was the winner.

Alvarez is a former Husson University golfer and just recently was picked to enter the school's sports hall of fame.

Plummer is a 13-time state amateur champ, among many other titles.
