Napoli batted .275 with 54 home runs in his time in Texas but the Rangers did not want to give him multiple years on a new contract.

Their loss is the Sox gain, so far. Napoli has handled first base duties for the Sox and is hitting .283 with 6 homers and 31 RBI.
