Mike Napoli helped the Texas Rangers earn playoff spots two years in a row and this weekend he tries to beat his old team as a member of the Boston Red Sox.

Napoli batted .275 with 54 home runs in his time in Texas but the Rangers did not want to give him multiple years on a new contract.

Their loss is the Sox gain, so far. Napoli has handled first base duties for the Sox and is hitting .283 with 6 homers and 31 RBI.

The Sox enter the series with with a 20-8 record, tops in the east. The Rangers are 17-11, best in the west.
