Three local athletes have been nominated for McDonald's High School Athlete of the Week after strong showings in the track and field state championships over the weekend.

This week's nominees are Old Town's Olivia Damboise, Ben Cotton of John Bapst and Cymeria Robshaw of Penquis Valley High School.

Here's how each athlete performed in their respective meets

Old Town's Olivia Damboise won the pole vault (10-0) and triple jump (34-11) at the Class B girls outdoor track and field state championships at Foxcroft Academy. She also placed fourth in the long jump (16-01.25). The Old Town girls placed fifth at the meet.

Ben Cotton of John Bapst placed first in the 100-meter dash (11.28) and the long jump (20-9 3/4). He also finished second in the 200 dash (23.32). Cotton and Yarmouth's Luke Laverdiere were the only double-event champions in the Class B boys meet.

Penquis junior Cymeria Robshaw won the long jump (17-07.75) and the triple jump (34-10.50) in the girls Class C state championships at Massabesic High School in Waterboro. She also placed third in the 100-meter dash (13.17).
