A poor shooting night against the hottest team in America East is not a good combination. That however was the case as the UMaine men lost on the road at Stony Brook 81-54 Monday night.Maine shot just 33% form the field including 5-18 behind the 3-point line while the Seawolves drained 68% of their shots which allowed them to go into the locker room at halftime with a 14 point lead.

Stony Brook put four players in double digits with Carson Puriefoy leading the way with a game high 25 points. The Seawolves have won 12 straight games and improve to 7-0 in America East.

Devine Eke was the only double digit scorer for the 6-13 Bears with 11 points on the night. Maine also struggled on the glass, getting out rebounded 41-22 resulting in just 6 second chance points.

The Bears continue their road trip Wednesday when they take their 2-4 conference record to Hartford for a game against the Eagles.
