
Betts Homers, On Base Streak Continues
The Mookie Betts streak rolls on...the Portland Seadogs second baseman reached base four times today and his consecutive games on-base streak reached 65. In this afternoon's 13-5 at New Britain, Betts had a home run and two singles, plus a walk. His on base percentage is now .467.
The 21-year-old Betts has been on base at least once in all 35 games he has played in for the Seadogs and going back to single-A ball last year the on-base streak is 65 games.
Betts is hitting .401 with 6 home runs and 24 RBI. He has 18 stolen bases for the Red Sox double-A team.
The Seadogs are now 23-14.
