Boston Celtics center Aron Baynes will make an appearance at Hadlock Field in Portland during Tuesday night's game between the Sea Dogs and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

Baynes will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and sign autographs from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The New Zealand native averaged 6 points and a career-high 5.4 rebounds last season, his sixth season in the NBA and his first with the Celtics.

A physical interior defender, the 6-10, 260-pound Baynes helped the Celtics finish the 2017-18 season with the league's best defensive rating while owning the best individual defensive rating in the NBA.

In July, Baynes agreed to a two-year, $11 million contract to remain in Boston.

The Sea Dogs have hosted several Celtics players at Hadlock Field over the past several years, including Jared Sullinger (2013), Marcus Smart (2014), Kelly Olynyk (2015), Jae Crowder (2016) and Brian Scalabrine (2017).
