Longtime Patriots offensive lineman Dan Connolly has decided to retire after 10 NFL seasons.

Connolly is 32-years-old and Pats captain in 2014. He started 71 regular season games and 11 playoff games, including 2 Super Bowls.

Connolly was a free agent and visited the Tampa Bay Bucs but has decided to bow out  after the Patriots won another Super Bowl back in February.

He has had several concussions and that was a major part of his decision to walk away from the NFL.

Connolly revealed his decision to retire to ESPN.com.
