The Miami Dolphins want to hire New England Patriots assistant coach Brian Flores as their head coach. Nothing can happen until the Pats season ends, which could be as early as Sunday or as late as the first weekend in February after the Super Bowl.

The 37-years-old Flores is a linebacker coach for the Pats but does all the duties of the defensive coordinator. He's been with the Patriots since 2004.
