The Red Sox have activated second baseman Ian Kinsler from the disabled list. To make room for Kinsler, Rafael Devers has been placed on the 10-day DL with a left hamstring strain.

Kinsler, who was acquired in a deal with the Los Angeles Angels at the trade deadline, played three games with the Red Sox before he strained his left hamstring while running the bases in a game against the Yankees on August 3.

He had gone 4-for-10 with two RBIs since joining the Red Sox.

It's unclear how Devers suffered his hamstring injury, but it's his third trip to the DL this season.

Devers is batting .242 with 16 home runs and 55 RBI. He leads the majors in errors with 21.
