High School Tennis

If you've driven by Bangor High School since school has been out in June, you may have noticed a huge project next to the softball field. The School Department has invested about 1 million dollars in replacing and extending the tennis courts at the high school.

The #5 seeded MDI Girl's Tennis Team upset the top-seeded Foxcroft Academy Ponies 3-2 in Dover Foxcroft Saturday morning to advance to the Northern Maine Class B Girl's Finals

The plan is in place for the return of state-wide competition in the high school ranks this spring across baseball, softball, tennis, lacrosse and track and field.

The Mattanawcook Academy girls tennis teams finished off an undefeated season with a 5-0 shutout win over Carrabec to claim the Class C Team Tennis Championship.

Class C North Region Team Tennis titles go to the Mattanawcook Academy Lynx girls and Orono boys. Both teams now move on the state championship day.
